Sustainable Management of Groundwater in Central Asia - Phase III

Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan

The objectives of the third phase of the project generated new policy relating to hydrogeological knowledge in Central Asia, and brought lessons from greater regional groundwater studies in Asia to the context of Central Asia, where ground water is still underutilized and underdeveloped. The project benefited small farmers from water scarce areas in Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.
