The project helped to improve the healthcare services to low income cancer patients and to enhance the postgraduate radiotherapy by contributing to the procurement and installation of a used Electron Linear Accelerator (LINAC) in the radiotherapy department of the University Teaching Hospital in Montevideo, as well as to design an academic program for the Oncology Department and to train human resources in treatment planning for LINAC and Clinical dosimetry.
