Overview

The OPEC Fund for International Development will have a substantial presence at the COP29 Climate Change Conference in Baku, Azerbaijan from November 11 to November 22, 2024.

With a delegation led by President Dr. Abdulhamid Alkhalifa, the OPEC Fund will co-host various sessions with partner governments, peer development banks and UN agencies on questions including:

• How to ramp up climate finance for agriculture and food security?
• How to expand innovative financing for energy transition?
• How to update policy-based loans for climate action?
