This loan will help complete construction of a key road to provide the population with swifter, year-round access to marketplaces and social services. Works will include:

  • completion of a 102 km-long road to all-weather asphalt;
  • reconstruction/construction of bridges;
  • replacement or reconstruction of drainage structures;
  • installation of guardrails and other safety devices; and
  • consultancy services.
The project will have a positive impact on the poor rural communities, especially small holder farmers, many of whom are women.
