In light of its rapidly growing industrial and commercial sectors in Yunnan Province, Government has placed high priority on reforming the Province’s technical education sector.
In line with this goal, the project will expand and equip four vocational colleges in the Province’s capital Kunming. Each facility caters to a specialty; namely, metallurgy, mechanical and electrical technology, industrial technology and culture and art. A total of 215,800 m2 in additions will be built. On completion, enrolment levels are expected to increase from 13,000 to 33,850, which will provide youth with the skills needed to secure well-paying jobs, and in turn, help boost the region’s economic growth.
