The earth-surfaced, 271 km-long Yaoundé–Kribi stretch in the south-central part of the country provides an important link to the capital Yaoundé and a strategic shipping port in Kribi. Works to be carried out under the project include:
- paving of an 80 km section of the road from Yaoundé to the town of Olama;
- installation of drainage works and culverts;
- rehabilitation of bridges, including replacement of a concrete bridge crossing the Akono River with a steel-reinforced one.
