The grant was a general contribution to finance research activities on topics of interest to the developing countries. It was used to finance a G-24 workshop on Financing for Development held in New York City in September 2001. The workshop was undertaken in preparation for the U.N. International Conference on Financing for Development held in Mexico in 2002.
