The grant was extended toward the West Asia and North Africa (WANA) Ministerial Level Meeting with Donor Agencies to Discuss Opportunities for Sustainable Investment in Dryland Ecosystems to be held in Rabat, Morocco, from June 25-26, 2001. The meeting promoted cooperation among policy makers and donor agencies to address rural poverty and degradation of natural resources in the dryland areas of WANA.
