The general objective of the project is to contribute to the overall economic and social development of the country through the construction of the University of Djibouti. Project components will include:

  • construction of a fully-integrated, 26,000 m2 university campus able to accommodate 10,000 students
  • procurement of furniture and equipment
  • consultancy services
  • institutional support
While responding to the growing demand of the higher education sub-sector in Djibouti, the project will provide all sectors of the economy with qualified and highly educated staff and promote scientific research. Hence, the project will also contribute to the human development of the country.
