The project’s aim was to achieve universal access to drinking water and sanitation facilities and coverage of all public schools with the standard ratio of water tap points and latrines to the number of students per school. The grant’s proceeds contributed to construction of new water supply schemes, new sanitary facilities, additional water tap points, capacity building for teachers and caretakers and hygiene promotion activities.
