The overall objective of this regional project is to promote universal access to HIV prevention, treatment, care and support by strengthening the commitment and capacity of national governments and other key actors to effectively integrate food and nutrition initiatives in multi-sectoral national AIDS frameworks. The grant proceeds will contribute to develop and implement pilot food-based initiatives to support access and adherence to anti-retroviral treatment and prevention of mother to child transmission in three countries, one per sub-region. Regional and national level advocacy, knowledge management, training and technical assistance will contribute to policy and practice formulation.
