The project comprises the two parts: (i) interconnection of the central and eastern power system, which will provide a reliable power study; and (ii) rehabilitation of the Biratnagar distribution system, which is of particular importance of jute mills and other industrial and commercial enterprises. The project will allow Nepal to benefit from the economies of scale derived from the operation of a single system.
