This program aimed at improving the health care environment and empowering vulnerable children with coping strategies to help them better deal with their situation, especially considering the repeated violence and hostilities and the resulting physical and psychological suffering. The program operated in children hospitals and wards, through trained young artists that visit children receiving treatment and performing morale-boosting games and songs. Overall, more than 3,000 children benefitted from clown visits. As a by product, a number of young artists received training in performing arts and in dealing with children suffering from health conditions. The programme helped mobilize an online donation campaign “Donate a Smile.”
