The Western Region Rural Development Project

This project aims to develop the country’s agricultural sector and reduce rural poverty levels in the Western Region. A large number of sub-components will be carried out with a focus on encouraging the participation of women and indigenous populations. institution strengthening and capacity building; teaching youth basic labor skills; offering training in management and marketing to small and micro-enterprise owners; establishment of a Social Investment Fund to finance community-based projects; and setting up of aProductive Capitalization Fundto help implement micro and small-scale schemes, including irrigation systems, small dams and wells, and the construction of farming terraces.
