Works under this project will entail expanding and rehabilitating the water supply and distribution system, establishing a sewage system and improving garbage collection and disposal in the town of Tarrafal. An unused source of water will be tapped, a new pumping station, reservoir and pipeline constructed, and a sewage system and treatment plant built, benefiting some 4,600 people.
