The overall objective of the program is to assist beneficiary countries in establishing sustainable food safety and food security plans and policies on national level to reach the entire population. The grant contributes to the project in Sierra Leone that aims at capacity building of farming communities to recognize food production problems and opportunities, motivation of farming families to plant 10 % more land, the use of high yielding crop varieties and the adjustment of land use patterns to plant crops.
