This was a loan to co-finance the second phase of a community development project seeking to rehabilitate and develop basic social, economic infrastructure in the West Bank and Gaza Strip. Some 150 micro-projects were implemented, including the rehabilitation and reconstruction of health clinics, schools, community and other social centers, public amenities, and religious, historical or cultural buildings and areas. With the reparation and reconstruction of water and power networks, this project was instrumental in helping Palestine reduce its dependence on Israel for goods and services.
