This program aimed to provide a stable institutional backing to guarantee that Palestinian students with high academic potential can access and pursue university level education, corresponding to their potential and scholarly merit. Of this grant the amount of US$150,000 was allocated for the launching events of the project. This USD 1,000,050 grant enabled the full or partial coverage of university fees of 145 students in UNRWA's fields of operations (Gaza and the West Bank, Jordan, Lebanon and Syria).
