As part of its road sector development strategy, Government is placing high priority on rehabilitating key links of the national road network. The project will carry out the following:
- repair of four important stretches totaling 47.67 km and paving with asphalt;
- installation of drainage systems;
- carrying out of a detailed design study on the Mandela Highway, where heavy rainfall often causes sections to be closed.
