The project aims at providing electrical power to rural communities in Mozambique to promote economic growth and reduce poverty. Works will be conducted in the Gaza, Inhambane, Maputo and Nampula provinces, and will include:
- installation of some 816-km of medium and 68-km of low voltage lines and 1,800 street lighting points along main roads
- construction of 72 transformer stations and connections to over 7,000 households
