Years of civil strife have led to the widespread and severe deterioration of Cambodia’s road infrastructure. Much of the network is classified as being in poor condition, and highways that were recently rehabilitated are experiencing unexpected failures and defects. The project will therefore comprise:
- rehabilitation and upgrading of around 950 km of national and provincial roads;
- capacity-building and institution-strengthening measures at the Ministry of Public Works and Transport.
