The project is part of a broader Government program aimed at rehabilitating and equipping healthcare centers across all governorates of Congo DR. Works will be carried out in the heavily-populated provinces of Kinshasa and Bandundu, areas with high poverty levels, and will include:
- construction and equipping of 26 health units, five health centers and ten health administration centers; and
- provision of basic medical supplies to insure the facilities are immediately operational after their completion.
