The overall goal of this project was to provide essential social assistance interventions to marginalized drug-users vulnerable to infection by HIV/AIDS. The grant's proceeds contributed to attract more drug users to establish a contact with outreach units in charge of HIV/AIDS prevention, to create a stable relationship between outreach workers/clinicians and drug dependent individuals at risk or affected by HIV/AIDS, and contributed with livelihood interventions to improve the target group's health condition as an essential stage of HIV/AIDS prevention and treatment.
