Established in 1965 as a non-profit NGO, the Centre is a home for the physically disabled children of Palestine, mainly those suffering from Polio-Paralysis. The main goals of the Centre are: to develop as a National Referral/Resource Centre for treating/rehabilitating/integrating Palestinian children with special needs and their families; to develop as a pioneer in the provision of inclusive education within mainstream school settings in East Jerusalem; to provide specialized medical/vocational training services to the population of East Jerusalem who have special needs and are of different age groups. The grant assisted in the continuity of the Center’s activities.
