The project comprises the construction of a large thermal power station near the south Godavari coal fields in the Karimnagar district of Andhra Pradesh. It consists of three 200 MW turbo generating units, three 680/hr boilers, and a 400 kV transmission system. The project will help meet the country's growing demand for energy while reducing dependence on imported energy through the utilization of domestically produced coal.
