The Government of Jordan has entered into a rehabilitation,expansion and operation agreement with the special purpose project company Airport International Group (AIG) to undertake a phased expansion of Queen Alia International Airport in Amman.The proceeds of the financing will be used primarily for capital expenditures to expand capacity and improve the quality of service at the airport. The project is expected to contribute strongly to the overall economic development of Jordan, including employment generation, increased foreign exchange earnings through additional tourism, and the further development of export markets.
