This project aimed to enhance access of Palestinians from the West Bank and Gaza to cancer diagnostic and treatment services. Its specific objective was to increase the capacity of the Al-Ahli Hospital in Hebron to provide such services through the acquisition of advanced nuclear imaging technique/ equipment combining both positron emission tomography (PET) and computed tomography (CT) into one machine (PET/CT scan). The project is expected to directly benefit about a 1,200 patients each year. Project Outputs: The partner successfully implemented planned activities, including preparation works of the department, delivery and installation of equipment. A plaque will be placed in recognition of OFID's support. Photos documenting the activities were also shared. The partner was asked to share a post completion report informing of the impact and operation of the newly introduced PET/CT scan device and the new medical services in due course.
