The grant was extended in support of a one-year program on the promotion of Modern Women Entrepreneurship for Food Security and Poverty Alleviation in Rural Africa. Under this scheme, a series of workshops were held with the aim to develop technical skills of human resources, both at entrepreneurial and production levels, to strengthen micro, small and medium enterprises in the agro-food sector, and to collect, process and disseminate information with the view to sharing the gained experiences.
