Producing more Food and Income with less Reources: Environmentally friendly Potato Intensification in the Andes

This project aimed to assess existing potato crop management technologies for their contribution to environmentally friendly intensification according to key agro-ecosystems, and was built on the last four projects funded by OFID. Project elaborated and published an inventory of available potato ICM technologies in two key agro-ecosystems and developed mechanisms for disseminating information, measured the contribution to sustainability of selected ICM technologies, and developed criteria for selecting ICM options according to different farming systems and farmer objectives. The project is succesfully completed.
