The project aims at enhancing the quality of teaching and learning and strengthening school management in Ghana’s underserved southern region. Works will include construction of 36-unit primary school blocks equipped with hygienic sanitation facilities and teachers’ accommodations, as well as a computer room and library at each school. Also planned is the provision of furniture and learning materials and capacity-building, including Information and Communications Technology training at 38 teacher training colleges. In all, around 8,280 pupils and 180 teachers are expected to benefit from the project.
