The project will rehabilitate and expand potable water and sanitation infrastructure in both rural and urban regions. Works will include:
- the drilling and cleaning of wells;
- supply and installation of pumping equipment and treatment facilities;
- expansion of distribution network;
- installation of metered house connections;
- establishment of a surveillance system to monitor the incidence rates of waterborne diseases; and
- institutional strengthening and capacity building across Haiti's potable water and sanitation sector.
