The grant was extended to the University Children Department of the Allgemeines Krankenhaus (AKH) in Vienna, Austria, in support of a scientific, research study on Postnatal Transmission of Hepatitis C Virus. The study aimed to clarify the rate of postnatal maternal-infant transmission of Hepatitis C Virus via breastfeeding. The University Children's Hospital launched this scientific research study in cooperation with other hospitals located in Vienna.
