The operation aimed at supporting polio eradication efforts in 10 African countries affected by conflict (Angola, Burundi, Central African Republic, Congo, DR Congo, Liberia, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, Somalia and Sudan). Activities include National Immunization Days, accelerating the expanded program of immunization (EPI) and surveillance systems for acute flaccid paralysis (AFP).
