This was a pilot project for rural electrification through wind energy for the Moulay Bouzerktoun village in the Essaouira province in Morocco. The village is located on the Atlantic coast, with approximately 40-50 houses and other basic infrastructure. The project consisted of the installation of a wind energy system in the village. It involved: - undertaking a feasibility study for technical design, social acceptance and financial sustainability of the system - installation of the equipment including wind generator with 15-20 kW, a small diesel generator and a distribution grid to supply the houses of the village - maintenance and after-sales services
