The aim of the project is to raise the agricultural productivity and incomes of small farmers living in three districts, Concepcion, San Pedro and Caaguazu, located in north-eastern Paraguay. The project will directly benefit some 12,000 farming families (about 80,000 people) by providing credit, technical assistance and extension and training services. Project activities will also help strengthen farmer cooperatives, small-scale rural industries and marketing facilities, and promoted the role of women in farming.
