To rehabilitate and upgrade a 13.54 km-long road between Bubanza to Ndora, some of the most isolated and poorest areas in the country. Also included is the construction of drainage structures, road signs and other safety infrastructure. The project will help the area population access basic services, such as schools and health centers, and promote trade and the movement of goods and people, as well as facilitate the return of refugees and internally displaced people. In addition, the rehabilitated road will help:
- reduce travel costs and time
- improve of road safety, especially for night traffic
- boost livelihoods and reduce poverty through the development of agricultural production and trade activities in the project area.
