Some 14,200 farms, representing over 120,000 people, are expected to benefit from this project through the improvement of rural infrastructure. Aims are to raise food self-sufficiency, reduce erosion, drill wells and rehabilitate roads. In addition, local organizations, particularly women’s cooperatives, will receive support, thereby helping to provide credit facilities and other assistance.
