The project aims at the production of sugar cane on an irrigated area of 1925 ha and the subsequent refining of the sugar cane into commercial white sugar. It includes the following components: (a) agricultural materials and machinery; (b) a drainage and irrigation system for the 1925 ha to be cultivated; (c) construction of feeder roads; (d) a sugar refining factory with a nominal capacity of 1000 tons/day of crushed sugar cane; (e) buliding of a township for the agro-industrial complex; and (f) acquisition of transport vehicles.
