In order to enable Maseru and the nearby townships of Roma, Mazenod and Teyateyaneng to meet both present and future needs, the project will construct of a 68m-high dam with a storage capacity of 52m m3 and pumping station on the Phuthiatsana River, as well as additional pumping stations to divert water to an 80,000 m3/day capacity treatment plant that will also be built under the project. The project will also install pipelines, and build access roads, among other related works.
