The project aimed at enhancing access of Palestinian children in East Jerusalem to quality education. This was achieved through a number of activities including refurbishing and equipping a number of selected schools teachers’ training as well as students and community engagement activities. The Project targeted six schools and directly benefitted over 1,000 school pupils. The Project was implemented by Madrasati Palestine in coordination with the Jerusalem Directorate of Education and the Jerusalem Awqaf Department. Project Outputs: 1. Undertaking much needed renovations to the six schools' buildings. 2. Providing educational ICT equipment to beneficiary schools. 3. Providing furniture and other educational supplies to the targeted schools and the Children’s Library in Al Aqsa Mosque. Project Impact: The project helped offer a safer and more conducive learning environment which supports and enables students, increasing the enrolment of underserved children and reducing drop outs.
