The project will provide motive power, rolling stock, spare parts, track materials and technical assistance so as to effect essential rehabilitation of railway capacity to 96,000 tons per month. Project works are divided in two groups: a) Investments to increase present capacity from 48,000 tons to 70,000 tons per month, with an implementation period of one year; and, b) investments to further increase it to 96,000 tons per month with an implementation period of two years.
