The grant has been extended to the African Rescue Committee (AFREC) to improve access to water, sanitation and hygiene and improve productive infrastructure for 5,833 drought affected households in Badhaadhe and Kismayo Districts in the South of Somalia. This will be achieved by drilling new boreholdes and setting up water systems, constructing pit latrines, provide income generation for local labors and rehabilitate the existing shallow wells.
