The overall objective of this project is to improve the overall health through ensuring better access to basic drinking water services and sanitation facilities in three rural areas of Haiti, impacting the lives of about 9,000 people. The project entailed three main components: 1. solar powered safe potable water: installation of water treatment units and tanks; 2. sanitation: building 220 houses with sanitary solutions and rain water tanks; and 3. health and hygiene promotion within the beneficiary communities.
