Agriculture, particularly the export of grains, plays a vital role in Egypt’s economy. Additional storage capacity, however, is needed as grain is often housed in open areas that offer little protection from humidity, insects and other damaging influences. The project will thus entail:
- construction of 20 metal silos, each with a storage capacity of at least 30,000 tons
- equipping of complexes with truck and railway receiving pits, delivery portals and scales, as well as tunnels and modern conveyance systems
