The project aimed to evaluate the impact of this self-sustaining model for improving the performance of traditional dairy through certification and training in order to generate evidence for scaling-up and scaling-out as well as provide recommendations that help continue to improve performance of the traditional dairy in Assam. The project beneficiaries were the 3,000 value chain workers and 400,000 consumers in four high potential districts in Assam who benefitted from the training and certification scheme to improve their businesses and produce safer dairy products.
