To strengthen the capacity of the existing vocational education system by developing vocational education infrastructure and providing training equipment to deliver market-oriented education for young job seekers. In addition, the project aims at providing updated knowledge to skilled laborers from local industries. Works will include:

  • expansion of four Vocational Secondary Schools in the prefectures of Linxia and Dingxi, amounting to an additional total construction area of about 60,800 m2;
  • procurement of equipment; and
  • project management and consultancy services.
The project is expected to benefit over 19,000 students who will receive the technical skills needed to obtain better-paying jobs.
