The project benefited farmer women of Elgedarif region in Sudan by providing agricultural inputs (improved seeds, fertilizers, and others) and improving provision of modern technologies. 3 days capacity building and informative workshops were held in 3 villages for about 250 women. Improved seeds (sorghum, millets, and watermelon) have been distributed among 330 women farmers in 5 villages benefit with total hand size of 1200 feddan. They also were assisted in land cleaning and land preparation with use of farm factor in land with tractor services in 550 Feddan (Feddan = 4,200 square meters). Living condition and production capacity of female farmers have been improved. Establishing women farmers' cooperatives and trade Union has enhanced women farmers' ties as local producers with internal market and international buyers to improve their revenue. In regards of project sustainability, ZENAB is planning to introduce locally invented agricultural intermediate technologies to help farmers carry out agricultural activities with affordable costs.
