The grant has been extended to support the provision of food, distribution and other activities related to the prevention of Food Crisis in the Republic of Niger that are undertaken by the Red Cross Society of Niger (RCSN). A Total of 241 tonnes of cerals have been procured to supply 10 ceral banks constructed in 10 villages. A total of 1,340 households benefited from these cerals banks during the lean period before harvests. Besides a total of 610 households benefited from the target distribution of 61 tonnes of rice.
