This project aims at helping reduce poverty and boost food security through the expansion of an irrigation network and construction of agricultural infrastructure. Works will include:

  • reclamation of 725 hectares of agricultural land;
  • construction of 30 km-long irrigation network and 35 km-long drainage network and pumping station;
  • construction around 32 m of of access and feeder roads;
  • construction of rice storage facilities and rice drying areas;
  • provision of seeds and other inputs; and
  • PIU and consultancy services.
On completion around 10 million inhabitants residing near the capital Kinshasa will benefit from the project.
