The aim of this project is to halt the erosion of beaches in Cotonou city and adjacent commune Seme Kpodji. Planned works include construction of artificial headlands to protect about 7.5 km of coast to the east of an existing port, as well as the rehabilitation of the existing headland Epi de Siafato. This will help protect the area’s 200,000 inhabitants and vital socio-economic infrastructure.
